Bathroom medicine cabinets have an interesting history. There is actually a reason that medicine cabinets are
commonly found in the bathroom, and not in the bedroom or hall. The reason is that when you are injured and
bleeding, the first thing you want to do is get the wound cleaned up. For that you need a source of clean water.
The bathroom is a god place for this because you have a sink and a bath or shower. Many years ago the bathroom
would be the best place to go to clean a cut. Eventually, people wanted to be able to store emergency supplies in
the bathroom for this reason. Well, a cabinet is a great place to store things. Eventually people figured out you
can put a mirrored door on it, place it above the sink, and you could have a multi function storage area.
The mirror could be used for daily grooming by all members of the house, the cabinet could be used to store
emergency supplies, grooming supplies, medicines, etc. A humble place to store a few emergency supplies turned into
something that almost no home is without. Talk about a great success story.
Like many things in homes, the role of the medicine cabinet does not always need to be purely utilitarian. Many
people also strongly consider the aesthetics when picking out things for their homes. The medicine cabinet is no
exception here. Actually, the medicine cabinet is a very important part of every bathroom, with most of us looking
at it several times a day. Because if this it is a great choice for some decorative flair to be applied. As you
could imagine, there are plenty of styles available for bathroom medicine cabinets.
The mirror is usually something that is not changed around all that much, but some styles actually use plane
glass instead of mirrors as a door on them. This certainly provides a unique look and lessens the utility of it a
bit. For some people, this is a good thing. Some styles will remove any frame or border around the mirror. The

Even thought there are really not that many things you can chance on a bathroom medicine cabinet, there are
